Dean’s Leadership Council
The mission of the Leadership Council is to advocate on behalf of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, to increase awareness of the value of a CLAS degree and support the College’s achievement of its goals. The Council accomplishes this mission by providing:
- Leadership through feedback, ideas and participation in philanthropic efforts as well as advice on the most efficient ways to structure gifts in support of the college’s mission and critical needs.
- Input on and insights into the professional and personal experiences of post CLAS degree graduates for the purpose of enhancing the educational experience of current and future CLAS students.
- Advice and suggestions for developing a stronger connection between the alumni network including how to achieve greater alumni participation in supporting the college’s mission and goals.
- Thought leadership for how to utilize CLAS alumni for the development of a robust mentoring process and to enhance the educational experiences for the students, now and in the future.
The Council receives guidance and structure from the Dean’s office, in conjunction with the Office of Advancement within the college.
Alumni Internships
The goal of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’s Alumni Internships through the Beyond120 Program is to provide opportunities for majors to gain work experience while having a positive influence on the company in which they are interning. Alumni entrepreneurs are encouraged to offer these internships to nurture these budding Gators. Learn more.
