FFRI project 2021-2022

The Theater Revival Project

What are the challenges and opportunities facing the theater community? Due to the pandemic, theater world-wide is in danger of losing its actors and technicians, not to mention its audience. While some measures have been taken, it does not replace the experience of a ‘spectacle vivant’. To address the situation of theatre today and come up with creative ideas to keep it alive and envision the future, the FFRI will listen to the French and Francophone theater community to see what they have been doing, off stage and on stage, and virtually or not, to overcome the situation. During the academic year, the Theater Revival project will organize a series of events involving the expertise of scholars in the field, actors, playwrights, directors and actors.
