Pax Atlantica: NATO’s Enduring Alliance
March 15, 2022 at 6:00 pm

Throughout NATO’s long history, the alliance has faced repeated crises and continuous predictions that it would soon collapse. Although NATO has endured, it is once again facing a moment of crisis as leaders grapple with a solution to the Russo-Ukraine conflict. Join international relations expert Timothy Sayle of the University of Toronto for this timely and in-person lecture examining the historical connections between NATO’s Cold War inception and today’s crisis. Sayle is the author of Enduring Alliance: A History of NATO and the Postwar Global Order (2019), a sweeping history of the most critical alliance in the post-WWII era. Presented by the UF Center for European Studies and the UF Bob Graham Center for Public Service.
