Immigrant Rights and Integration

Across Europe, immigrants face mandatory integration requirements for citizenship, permanent residence, and in some cases even migration itself. Concurrently, discourse Europe has in some cases expand rights to immigrants without requiring they first acquire citizenship. This panel investigates the political causes, consequences, and trends of such immigrant rights and integration policies throughout Europe, considering the role of colonialism and showcasing life above and below citizenship.
