Did you know that scholars can build attractive, informative websites with no prior experience in coding or website development?

Janelle Lyons, the Oral History Metadata Creation, Records Management and Content Curation graduate intern, will share her process of creating a website with Omeka S, a tool provided by the Libraries’ UFLib Domains service.

Omeka S is available to UF scholars and students who are collaborating with a librarian on a project or collection. Janelle will show how students and emerging professionals can use this new service to create a curated site. Using her own work as an example, showcasing interview clips from the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program digital collection, she will present on the basics of creating an Omeka S website, providing helpful tips and emphasizing the platform’s user-friendly features.

For more information about this event, please contact Janelle at janpat25@ufl.edu.
