The Bob Graham Center for Public Service is pleased to host Jerry Bruno, Gator grad (’12) and Graham Center alum, on May 12 for the first of the Careers in Public Service summer series in professional development events with Beyond120. Mr. Bruno will speak with students and recent graduates about his experiences at UF and in city government that prepared him for his current role with the Government Innovations team at Bloomberg Philanthropies.

As an undergrad at UF, Jerry was selected to participate in the Bob Graham Center for Public Service’s Tallahassee Internship Program, was a Graham Civic Scholar, and completed the Center’s Public Leadership Minor. Following graduation, Jerry moved to New York City where he was selected as an NYC Urban Fellow. He has since served as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner for Family Services and as Strategic Project Manager at the NYC Department of Homeless Services. He has participated in a number of prestigious fellowships including NYU’s Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service, the New Leaders Council fellowship, and most recently the Council of Urban Professionals fellowship.
