About Us

As one of the University of Florida’s founding colleges, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences honors its rich heritage while continually embracing innovation. As the largest college on campus, we are dynamic and forward-thinking, pioneering advancements in both teaching and research. With the most extensive array of international programs, our influence is truly global.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is home to the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, as well as the physical, natural and mathematical sciences. Each year, we support the majority of the university’s core curriculum, shaping a broad educational foundation for all students.

We prioritize excellence in classroom instruction alongside student development and experiential learning. Our college leads the university in volunteer engagement, champions undergraduate research and is deeply committed to career preparation. Through a vibrant network of alumni, we offer invaluable internship and mentoring opportunities that connect students with real-world experiences.

Our graduates embark on diverse and impactful paths, becoming anthropologists and biologists, chemists and physicians, economists and financial analysts, geologists and historians, attorneys and mathematicians, senators and teachers, virologists and weathercasters. These and countless other journeys begin here.
