The President’s Social Sciences Speaker Series: Professor Michael McDonald

Join President Kent Fuchs to hear a presentation and participate in a Q&A with Political Science Professor and @ElectProject leader Michael McDonald. Professor McDonald will discuss his work tracking early voting activity in the 2020 presidential election. A record number of people have already voted early. Who are they — and what does it mean for who will be president?
Professor McDonald, who focuses on elections and voter turnout, is closely tracking early voter turnout in the 2020 presidential election through his @ElectProject. He is a co-principal investigator on the Public Mapping Project, co-authored Numerical Issues in Statistical Computing for the Social Scientist and has published research articles in dozens of academic journals. He has worked as a media consultant to the Associated Press, ABC, and NBC and published opinion articles in The Washington Post, USA Today, Politico and other media.
