CLAS CHAMPION

This award is presented to an alumnus/alumna/friend with exemplary achievements over the span of a lifetime. This award recognizes those who have had extraordinary success in the following areas: professional achievement, community involvement, advancement of CLAS’ mission, the giving back of time and/or capital, and inspiring future leaders.

HORIZON AWARD

Liana Guerra (BS ’15, BA ’15, MBA ’20)

The Horizon Award recognizes the professional accomplishments or service to the university by those who have graduated within the last decade. Both undergraduate and graduate students from the last ten years are eligible for this award.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Dorothy (BA ’69, MA ’71) and Terry Smiljanich (BA ’69, JD ‘72)

This award recognizes alumni and friends of the college who have provided both financial support and advocacy for the college over a consecutive and extended period of time.


OUTSTANDING ALUMNA

Anne Stokes (BA ’86, MA ’91, PhD ’98)

This award honors an alumna or alumnus who has made significant contributions to their field while exemplifying the breadth and depth of a liberal arts and sciences degree.


SUPERIOR STAFF AWARD

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

Mike Wachholz (BA ’91, JD ’95)

The Volunteer of the Year Award honors an individual who has rendered outstanding voluntary service, loyalty, and support to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and alumni in their local region or area of affinity. This individual works on behalf of the college through service in alumni programs, on advisory committees, and in efforts to ensure the welfare of the institution.
