The UF Digital Library Center launched a new digital collection in March, Radical Women in Gainesville, just in time for Women’s History Month. The collection was created by English alumna Leila Adams, who completed the project under the guidance of Assistant Professor of Women’s Studies Trysh Travis. The exhibit documents the valiant history of feminists who helped reform the conservative Gainesville college town in the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s. The collection is comprised of photos, oral histories, self-published newsprints, newsletters, brochures, notes from feminist organizations and other original documents.
